I bought one about a month ago. I used it one time to clean up a puppy accident (immediately) and it didnt suck all the pee up. I believe it just watered it down a little, which in turn it absorbed into the carpet. My husband spilt the ashtray in the floor. I vaccuumed it up and then attempted to steam clean it and it left a dark gray mark in the carpet.

I purchased this cleaner and I think it's great!!! I love that fact that it cleans in reverse mode as well as forward. I was utilizing my girlfriends machine and loved it so much I purchased my own. What's great about it also is that the clean and dirty water are separated and most machines are not. I would recommend you invest in thi Hoover it's GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this and immediately returned it. It's HORRIBLE!!!!! It really didn't do anything other than get the carpet wet.

I actually have another model from Hoover it is the next model up. The only difference is that I have the upholstery attachment. I have used it non-stop since I got it. I have a dog, cat, three kids under 4 and a messy husband. So on an average week I use it at least twice. I clean the carpet at least once a month. I have used it on my couch a ton of times. My couch looks like new and it is 10 years old. I used a little OXI-Clean in the tank along with the cleaner to get out tough stains. This machine gets out poop, puke, blood, grease, dirt, and some grease. It is really easy to use too! The brushes are removable and replaceable. The separate water tanks don’t allow dirty water to go back on your floor. It is very easy to change the water and fill the tank. I just can’t say enough good things about it. It is amazing! I have friends that have had their cleaner for years and still have not had a problem. One of them has a home-based daycare and uses her everyday. We all love it! We would recommend the Hoover over the any other Steam Cleaner on the market. If you have kids or animals I would recommend getting one!

Without spending $200-300 dollars, this machine is a GREAT machine. I find it gets out pet stains and odors, sometimes you have to be persistant with those odors, but this machine has done the job. A hint here is make sure you are using a pet odor removing cleaner in your machine. I have also had excellent results getting even old stains out. I previously owned a more expensive, different brand steam cleaner, that died after only 2 years. I've had this machine for 2-3 years and I still love it.

I love this steam cleaner!It's awesome!We have a younger dog and he has had some accidents,this thing has gotten out stains I never thought possible.Dog throw up,diarrhea ect.I used it on my car carpets and it got orange clay stains out ,black dirt stains.And it has held up very well.I have had no problems with it.I researched for months and months.I thought I would give this a try.You cant beat it.And the price is great.

I bought this after extensive months of deciding which steam/rug cleaner to purchase, saw alot more reviews on another site where it gets 5 out of 5 stars, bought it, brought it home, it is easy to put together and easy to use, but i wasn't impressed with how it cleaned, it did not remove the stains in the carpet in the house we had purchased. In the end i should have waited, we got rid of the carpet and got wood floors, and i only used this about 3-5 times, but i would not buy this one again if i still had carpet.

I got this for Christmas. We have pets and one of them decided to mark his territory. This particular model doesn't come with a hose attachment for furniture which I was disappointed with, also it doen't have the spot spray feature and the instructions says if your model doesn't have the spot feature that I should use 2x as much detergent to clean more soiled areas. The detergent isn't cheap. It did a bad job of getting out dirt marks on our carpet. I went over them multiple times. I had to end up scrubbing it by hand. Also, I cleaned the area where my cat marked and it seemed to do an ok job, but the next day I decided to go over it again after it dried to make sure and it still kept pulling up urine. The water it pulls up is very dirty - so it must be doing something, but you wouldn't be able to tell my carpet is any different after it dries. I think I am going to exchange this for a better model. I would suggest spending a little more money to get something with more features.
